As an architect and lighting designer, I have always been passionate about the technical aspects of construction projects. From an early age, I immersed myself in the construction industry, gaining practical knowledge and experience in various trades. I've poured concrete for foundations and learned how to build brick walls. These experiences have given me the confidence to take on any challenge that comes my way and to be more effective during site visits.

However, as a young woman in a male-dominated industry, I have faced my share of challenges. But I have learned that the key to success is preparation, knowledge, and a determination not to be discouraged by anyone who doubts my abilities.

We need to break down gender barriers and change the perception that women are not as technical as men. My message to all young women is this: don't be intimidated by the male-dominated culture. Believe in yourself, work hard, and be confident in your abilities.
